Can I tell you a crazy story about how drawing 100 naked men was my thing?
A few years ago, in the middle of a divorce, I was in Florence drawing a classical statue. When I finished, I looked down and realized I had left a blank space in the middle where his genitals should have been.
I realized then that I had a blind spot—there were some limiting beliefs about what I should at and shouldn’t look at, some old conditioning still controlling me.

In spite of what everyone said, I decided to turn toward the thing that terrified me.
I launched a project to draw 100 naked men to give myself limitless access to see, to draw, and to express everything.
Joseph Campbell said, “The cave we fear to enter holds the treasure that we seek”.
Sometimes we need to turn towards the things that scares us, that we’re even avoiding, to find the treasure that we seek.
That project transformed me.
Saying yes to that initial desire unblocked something in me.
